Chihiro Yonekura was born on 19th August in Yokohama Prefecture. In 1996, she debuted with the song \u2018Arashi no naka de kagayaite\u2019, which was used as the opening theme song of Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, and \u201810 YEARS AFTER\u2019 which was used as the ending theme song. It sold over 100,000 copies, which is an exceptional record for an OVA. Following her debut, Chihiro Yonekura was in charge of all the Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team series\u2019 songs, including insert songs, and songs for the movie version.<\/p>\n

In 1999, she sang the opening theme song, \u2018WILL\u2019 and the ending theme song, \u2018FRIENDS\u2019 of Hoshin Engi, also known as the Soul Hunter (a TV anime with a storyline based in China) which was another hit that sold over 100,000 copies. Other than that, she sang the theme song, \u2018Butterfly Kiss\u2019 for the anime RAVE, the opening theme song, \u2018Yakusoku no bashoe\u2019 of Kaleido Star, the opening theme song of Yondemasuyo Azazelsan, FAIRY TAIL, and many other songs for anime and games. With Dream, Love, Courage, and Kindness as her central theme, she has released 34 singles and 17 albums so far.<\/p>\n

In 2010, she moved to her current management agency, SOLID VOX and expanded her activities overseas. She now actively does events in South America and Asia. On top of that, she is also active as a song writer, offering songs for other artistes. In 2015, she released her 20th Anniversary Album, \u2018BEST OF CHIHIROX II\u2019. In 2016, she sang the insert song of ClassicaLoid, and sang\/wrote the opening and ending theme song of the PlayStation Vita game, Suran Digit. She also held the \u2018Chihiro Yonekura 20th Anniversary Special Live\u2019 on the 20th anniversary of her debut on January 24th 2016. She now still offers songs to other artists as an active singer-song writer.<\/p>\n
