Do you think that you are a talented artist or illustrator?
If you answered 'yes' to both, here is your chance to
show your original designs here at AFA11!


Jointly organized by Bushiroad and Anime Festival Asia, 'ART FIGHT!! VANGUARD' is an art contest that will pit the skills of artists and illustrators to create an original character in the world of Card Fight!! Vanguard.

The contestant with the best original concept illustration will be given an offer to draw an illustration for the Card Fight!! Vanguard trading card game!

Entries will be judged by President of Bushiroad Mr. Kidani and the director of the Japan Creative Centre Mr. Horikawa!

Theme of Illustration works

An original character based on the Royal Paladin or Kagerou of Cardfight!! Vanguard. (Inclusive of the Title)

*Please note that the submission artwork selected from the contest will not directly be used as is for the Cardfight!! Vanguard game.

Method of submission:

The submission period will be from now to 2nd November 2011.

Rules and Regulations:

  • All concept art must be in full colour, and have a short description of their character's abilities.
  • A participant may submit more than 1 entry.
  • The top 20 illustrations will be featured within Bushiroad's booth at AFA11
  • The best concept art will be judged and announced on 13th November 2011.
  • Contestant with best artwork chosen shall be given an offer to draw an illustration for the Cardfight!! Vanguard game.
  • All selected illustrations will be placed online as well as within the Embassy of Japan's Japan Creative Centre from the 2nd half of November
