Made her debut in 1993 as the composer and keyboardist for “See-Saw.”

In 2002, “Anna ni Issho Dattani,” the ending theme for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, became a major hit.

Currently, she focuses on composing soundtracks primarily for anime, having worked on numerous high-profile titles including Sword Art Online, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

She also fully produced the vocal unit “Kalafina,” leading all 5 of their studio albums and 2 best-of albums to reach the Top 10 charts, establishing her reputation globally.

In 2020, “Homura” (sung by LiSA), the main theme song for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, which she co-wrote and composed, won the 62nd Japan Record Awards.

Beyond anime, she has also composed music for film and television, including Takeshi Kitano’s film Achilles and the Tortoise, NHK’s historical program Rekishi Hia Historia, and the NHK Morning Drama Hanako and Anne.

Since 2008, she has been hosting “Yuki Kajiura LIVE,” a unique world-scale live performance series blending soundtrack scores and vocal tracks. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of her debut in 2023, she held her first-ever two-day Nippon Budokan concert series, Kaji Fes.2023.

For the feature film Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgisnacht Rising, released on August 28 this year, she composed the soundtrack and performed the theme song “Kanata” under her solo project FictionJunction, which was released as a single CD on September 2 for the first time in 14 years.

Virtual Singer

Debuting in 2018, KAF uses an anime-style avatar to present herself to the world, while creating music centered around her versatile and powerful voice. She’s become one of the most prominent virtual singer’s in Japan, with her original songs and covers earning millions of views. In December 2024, she released her fourth full-length album, further showing her artistic growth and ability to capture the complexities of growing up in 21st century Japan. She’s performed at some of the country’s most celebrated venues, including a sold-out night at the historic Nippon Budokan in Tokyo and the first-ever arena show by a virtual artist in January 2024.

Liella! is a school idol group originating from Love Live! Superstar!!

Four second-generation members joined the group with the second season of the TV anime, which aired in July 2022, followed by two third-generation members in spring 2023. Liella! currently performs as an 11-member group.

The group attracted significant attention for holding the first-ever open audition in the Love Live! series and for adding new members over time. Known for their outstanding live performances, Liella! continues to expand beyond the boundaries of the genre, appearing at music festivals and on variety shows.

Love Live! Superstar!! is the fourth installment in the Love Live! series, a school idol project spanning multiple forms of media under the theme “A Story Achieved Together.”

The project launched in January 2020. Following a series-first open audition for the main cast and a fan-participation campaign in LoveLive!Days Love Live! General Magazine to determine the group’s name, the school idol group Liella! was formed. Liella! made their CD debut in April 2021 with “Hajimari wa Kimi no Sora.”

The first season of the TV anime aired in 2021, followed by the second season in 2022 and the third season in 2024.

The story follows the activities of Liella!, a school idol group formed at Yuigaoka Girls’ High School, a newly established private school located between the Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama areas of Tokyo.

In their series project “Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai” (Confession Executive Committee), which is based on their songs, various characters develop interconnected stories. The project has expanded into multiple media formats, including novels and television anime. The HoneyWorks original novel series has become a bestseller with over 3 million copies sold.

HoneyWorks has also provided songs for artists such as Haruka Tomatsu, Momo Asakura, and Gero.

Through the unit “CHiCO with HoneyWorks,” featuring CHiCO as the vocalist, they have performed theme songs for many popular anime series, including “Ao Haru Ride,” “Magic Kaito,” “Gintama,” “After the Rain,” and “Haikyu!!.”

Additionally, the “Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai” series has introduced idol characters such as LIP×LIP (Yujiro & Aizo / voiced by Koki Uchiyama and Nobunaga Shimazaki), mona (voiced by Shiina Natsukawa), and Full Throttle4 (YUI, RIO, MEGU, DAI / voiced by Soma Saito, Yuma Uchida, Tetsuya Kakihara, and Toshiki Masuda), further expanding the scope of their activities.

Under the livetune name, he gained widespread recognition with tracks like “Tell Your World,” featured in the Google Chrome – Hatsune Miku commercial, and “Hand in Hand,” the theme song for Magical Mirai 2015. He has produced many iconic Vocaloid works, primarily featuring Hatsune Miku, while also showcasing his versatility through remix collaborations with global EDM artists such as ZEDD and Afrojack.

His songwriting and production credits include major titles like Tokyo 7th Sisters, IDOLiSH7, and IDOLY PRIDE, as well as soundtrack work for TV anime such as Battle Girl High School and BEATLESS. More recently, he has expanded his reach by producing the full-length original album SMASH The PAINT!! for the popular virtual streamer group NIJISANJI.
