Played in a band, and made his solo debut in 1999. Released 46 Singles and 15 Albums up until today. Boasts a top record in consecutive TOP 10 ranking for Male Solo Artists (January 2014)

Competent in Japanese, English, Chinese, French,Korean, and skilled in many action skills (Japanese Swordsmanship, Taekwondo, Karate, Acrobatics, etc), and enjoys driving, snowboarding and horse riding. With a strong belief that “Giving people a supportive push” is his duty ,contributes to graduation performances, charity works, etc. GACKT does not consider himself a “Musician”, but an “Expressionist”, a versatile one-of-a-kind artist with many talents.
