HIMEHINA is a virtual duo consisting of Hime Tanaka, known for her high-toned vocals that scream with raw emotion, and Hina Suzuki, whose gentle voice creates beautiful harmonies alongside Hime. Their musical style mainly consists of positive rock often described as “heart-fluttering (kyun-kyun)” or “youthful” themed music.
In their series project “Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai” (Confession Executive Committee), which is based on their songs, various characters develop interconnected stories. The project has expanded into multiple media formats, including novels and television anime. The HoneyWorks original novel series has become a bestseller with over 3 million copies sold.
HoneyWorks has also provided songs for artists such as WEST., Haruka Tomatsu, Momo Asakura, and Gero.

CHiCO with HoneyWorks is a unit that brings together CHiCO, the grand prize winner of Sony Music Entertainment’s “Utakatsu!” audition, and HoneyWorks, the hitmaking creators behind “Kawaikute Gomen.” Since their 2014 major debut with “Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru,” they have performed the theme songs for such hugely popular anime hits as Ao Haru Ride, Magic Kaito 1412, the Gintama series, Haikyu!! To The Top, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It, and Rent-A-Girlfriend.
Their youthful sound, melodies, and lyrics have resonated with countless teenage fans, with over 600 million YouTube views and counting. They tour extensively as well, successfully headlining shows at Nippon Budokan and Musashino Forest Sport Plaza.
Following their Zepp tour finale on April 8, 2023, CHiCO with HoneyWorks announced a temporary hiatus. CHiCO launched a solo project that July, collaborating with creators, composers, and artists from Japan and around the world to produce music. The group name reflects the wish for them to become noble idols who are kind, strong, and caring toward their companions like elephants. It combines “Karen” (graceful/adorable)—evoking a sense of cuteness and protectiveness—with “Ivory,” symbolizing the elephant. It also carries the meaning of the “ivory color,” representing the ambiguous emotional state between childhood and adulthood, like adolescence.
